DAY 1 – Welcome to Managua

Upon arrival in Managua, Nicaragua, you’ll be greeted by our driver at the airport and privately transferred to your selected hotel in Granada. Granada, a charming city on the shores of Lake Nicaragua, boasts an array of Spanish colonial landmarks that have endured centuries, including many pirate invasions.

After settling in, stroll through Central Park, the city’s main plaza, which is highlighted by the vibrant, neoclassical facade of the Cathedral of Granada, dating back to 1583. Conclude the day with a relaxing dinner as you absorb the unique blend of history and culture that Granada offers.

DAY 2 – Discover Granada

Start your day with a guided tour of Granada, the historic “first city of the New World.” Navigate its vibrant streets, relish its Spanish architecture, including Central America’s oldest church, and enjoy panoramic views of Mombacho Volcano from Fortaleza La Polvora.

In the afternoon, explore the islets on Lake Granada, capturing striking views of the city’s colonial architecture against the backdrop of Masaya’s lava.

DAY 3 – Lake Nicaragua

Begin your day visiting Granada’s islets and say hello to a playful family of monkeys. Enjoy lunch at a picturesque island restaurant on Lake Nicaragua while soaking up the tranquil scenery. Post-lunch, head back to the hotel for some rest before exploring Granada’s lively nightlife.

DAY 5 – Ometepe Island

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading to Ometepe Island, nestled in Lake Nicaragua and known for its twin volcanoes. Explore ancient petroglyphs at Ometepe Museum, relax by the natural pools of Ojo de Agua, or brave the choppy waves at Santo Domingo Beach.

Opt for outdoor activities like kayaking or hiking, and decide whether to cap the day under the island’s starry sky.

DAY 6 – Island Lakehouse

Indulge in a unique experience at your private island house on the expansive Lake Nicaragua. Savour the sunrise over the tranquil waters and spend your day in perfect harmony with nature.

Get the BBQ sizzling and enjoy an array of games, perfect for creating unforgettable memories. Adventurous souls can kayak around the lake, exploring its secluded spots. This luxurious day at the lake house, with its mix of relaxation and adventure, is a gem in your Nicaraguan adventure.

DAY 7 – Volcano Surfing

Begin your day with breakfast before heading to León, known for its preserved Spanish colonial architecture. Visit the Ruben Dario Museum, Museum of Myths and Legends, and admire views from the Cathedral’s rooftop.

Experience the thrill of volcano surfing on Cerro Negro’s slopes. Delve into history at the Museum of Legends & Traditions, Museo de Arte Fundación Ortiz-Gurdián, and the Museum of The Revolution.

DAY 9 – Free Day

Free Day in San Juan Del Sur: Enjoy the Pacific’s turquoise waters, relax on the sun-soaked beaches, or indulge in water sports like surfing. You can also explore local markets for unique souvenirs or taste fresh seafood in town.

Optional activities such as jungle hikes, horseback riding, or yoga classes can be arranged upon request.

DAY 10 – Exploring Managua

Start the day with breakfast, then explore Managua, Nicaragua’s vibrant capital. Visit key landmarks such as the Ruben Dario Monument, the National Theatre, Plaza la Fe, and Parque Central. Admire the neoclassical Old Cathedral and the Presidential House.

Learn about local history at the National Palace of Culture and take in stunning views from Tiscapa Lagoon. Conclude at the impressive Metropolitan Cathedral. Consider an optional stay in a lake house or treehouse hotel to wrap up the day.

DAY 11 – Departure

As our wonderful Costa Rican journey comes to an end, we reflect on the wealth of experiences we’ve shared.
